Take Part and Help Support Fox Chase Cancer Center
Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia holds special events all year to provide cancer education and to benefit the Center. Funds raised go to cancer research, prevention and treatment at Fox Chase. We also partner with community groups to help raise cancer awareness and support. Please join us by taking part in the great events coming up. "Together, Facing Lung Cancer" offers patients and their caregivers support
Fox Chase Cancer Center invites lung cancer patients and their caregivers to the FREE event - "Together, Facing Lung Cancer" - on Wednesday, November 11 at 5:00 p.m. The event will be held on the Fox Chase Cancer Center campus (333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia).
Fox Chase doctors and other members of the health-care team will discuss treatments for lung cancer, management of side effects, and the various resources to support patients with lung cancer at diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

- Casino Fundraiser Helps Fox Chase Patient

Join in the fun on Sunday, November 15 as friends host a special fundraiser for Fox Chase patient Bob Zinski and his wife, Janine, at Normandy Farms (1401 Morris Road, Blue Bell, PA). The event runs from 2-6 p.m. and includes food, drinks, DJ, raffles and a sampling of your favorite casino tables.
Zinski, 43, a Penn State graduate and lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, was diagnosed in the fall of 2007 with liver cancer that has since spread to his brain. Proceeds will benefit the Zinski's to help off-set the cost of Bob's care, as well as Fox Chase Cancer Center. Learn more about Bob's cancer journey by going to Caringbridge and ESPN.
- Beef and Beer to Benefit Fox Chase

Support a great cause and have a great time at a beef and beer, the 3rd Annual Lung Cancer Research Fundraiser, on Saturday, November 21 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at VFW Post 676 (2519 Jenkintown Rd., Glenside, PA 19038). The evening features raffles, including a baseball and authentic Wolrd Series jersey signed by Shane Victorino, as well as door prizes and a 50/50 drawing.
Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit lung cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Please send check or money order to:

- Fox Chase Chapter Bus Trip to New York City

The 4th Annual Bus Trip to New York City, organized by the Fox Chase Chapter of the Board of Associates, will take place on Thursday, December 3. The bus will leave from Willow Grove at 8:30 a.m. and leave New York at 6 p.m. Come and enjoy a day in New York City to do whatever you wish to do.
