The 20th annual Tree of Life Ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 3, at 5:00pm in the Fox Chase Cancer Center cafeteria.
The annual Ceremony brings together Fox Chase patients, caregivers, researchers, donors, and medical staff in a moving tribute to honor those who have been touched by cancer - those who have passed, those fighting cancer, and all the caregivers and survivors.
The highlight of each ceremony is the tree lighting when a cancer survivor throws the switch, and the tree lights up to represent all those who have fought – and are battling – cancer.
The Tree of Life is truly a tree of hope for those of us who have been personally affected by this disease. It is a shining symbol of what we can achieve – of how far we’ve come and yet how far we still have to go until the day that cancer will no longer claim the lives of those we love.
Your gift to the Tree of Life Campaign touches – and saves – the lives of so many who have been affected by this terrible disease. Unfortunately, cancer knows no season; but you can make a difference to our neighbors struggling with cancer, by giving a gift today.
