Medical Oncologist Holly Dushkin Joins Fox Chase Cancer Center

PHILADELPHIA (October, 2008) — Medical oncologist Holly Dushkin, MD, has joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as an attending physician in the medical oncology department. She specializes in cancers of the breast and gastrointestinal cancers, including colorectal cancer.
Dushkin had completed a three-year fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Fox Chase. She came back to Fox Chase after working at Annapolis Oncology Center and Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md.
"I chose to return to Fox Chase because I believe in its mission," Dushkin said. "Fox Chase is a unique environment with a strong commitment to both patient care and research.
"A range of clinical trials provide access to many treatment options, with a goal of improving future therapies. Just as important, there is a strong focus on supportive care, patient education, and cancer prevention."
Dushkin received her MD and completed her residency at Temple University. During her medical training, she earned the Augustin R. Peale Award for excellence in pathology in 1991 and the Emanuel M. Weinberger Award for excellence in subspecialties of internal medicine in 2001.
