AtlantiCare, The Cancer Care Institute, a part of AtlantiCare, is a Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner that serves the southeastern New Jersey region. The Institute provides patients access to the most advanced diagnostic tools. Results are then used to assist doctors who tailor individualized treatment plans, all while addressing the needs of patients' minds, bodies and souls through various support services.

The Institute's advanced technology allows specialists the ability to detect even the tiniest cancers. Routine screening helps to ensure early detection.

Each patient at AtlantiCare, The Cancer Care Institute, has access to a multidisciplinary team of cancer experts that may include medical, surgical and radiation oncologists; radiologists; pathologists; physicists; oncology-certified nurses; radiation therapists and technicians; a breast health coordinator; social workers; clergy; nutritionists; and other specialists dedicated to the patient.

Treatment options include:

• Radiation Therapy
  Radiation therapists offer patients access to comprehensive and advanced treatment technologies, including linear accelerators, IMRT, AcQsim (a CT based simulator used to identify the precise location of a tumor) and brachytherapy.
• Chemotherapy
  Medical oncologists work with individual patients to determine the best course of cancer-fighting agents for them. Patients and their families are educated about chemotherapy, what to expect and possible side effects.
• Surgery
  Surgical oncologists work with each surgical candidate to determine whether surgery can be performed and whether the patient will require additional treatment. These highly experienced surgeons help to guide patients through this process.
• Gyenecologic Oncology
  Gynecologic oncologists offer specialized care for patients with gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, cervical, endometrial and other cancers of the female reproductive system.
• Clinical Trials
  As a Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner, AtlantiCare, The Cancer Care Institute, has access to numerous clinical trials that may offer patients access to new cancer treatments that may not be available at their local community hospitals.
