Melissa Thompson Griffin, PA-C

I love what I do.
As someone who was born and raised in Philadelphia, I knew of Fox Chase Cancer Center's commitment to excellence in cancer treatment even before coming here. In fact, some of my own friends and family have been treated here, all with positive experiences.
I was honored to join the dedicated gastroenterology team at Fox Chase Cancer Center. The gastroenterology practice is one of the best kept secrets at Fox Chase, as we also treat patients with other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract - not exclusively cancer.
I like to treat my patients as I would want my own family to be treated. I believe in a patient-centered approach to medicine, meaning we educate patients regarding their disease processes so they can become active participants in their own care. My patients know that I will be there to help them navigate through what can be an emotionally overwhelming process, providing resources and education for health literacy.
