Jennifer Grimes-Paul, PA-C

Jennifer Grimes

Like many other staff members, I came to Fox Chase Cancer Center because of its exceptional reputation. I began in early 2006 working solely with patients being treated for gastrointestinal cancer. Later I started working with sarcoma, melanoma, and breast cancer patients as well.

The staff at Fox Chase works as a team to provide patients with the best possible care and they value each individual patient. This is just one of the reasons why Fox Chase is such a unique place to receive care.

As a physician assistant, I work as part of a team with the physicians and nurses to manage each patient’s care. I am intimately involved throughout the course of a patient’s treatment. This includes treatment planning, routine follow-up visits both while on treatment as well as following completion, and surveillance visits thereafter. I find my profession to be especially rewarding because on a daily basis, I meet with patients that are truly inspiring, each in their own way.

One of my main goals as a physician assistant is to provide patients with a better understanding of their disease, prognosis and treatment. I aim to answer each patient’s questions and manage their symptoms and the side effects related to their disease and treatment. I feel that education plays an integral role in care, and I strive to provide patients with a better understanding of their options throughout their treatment.

Dealing with a diagnosis of cancer is never simple or easy. Through education, I hope to help patients and their families make more informed decisions and have a better understanding of the treatment plan and prognosis.
