Michael McCurry

I chose to work at Fox Chase Cancer Center as a physician assistant because the hospital is a world leader for cancer care. It is a privilege to be part of such an innovative institution that is solely devoted to cancer care. Particularly, I enjoy the team approach Fox Chase instills in all of its employees. Each patient is encouraged to become an active participant in his or her care. Our patients can expect to receive care that is completely individualized to their particular disease.

As a urologic surgical oncology physician assistant, I am trained to diagnose, treat, and manage various diseases in conjunction with my supervising physicians. Our team approach to care is just one of the reasons Fox Chase is a leader in cancer care.

In my role as a physician assistant, I obtain great satisfaction through educating and caring for patients and their families. I enjoy practicing in oncology, a field where compassion and education of the patient and their family is paramount. I think it is important to build relationships with both patients and their families and treat them as if they are my own family member. Fox Chase provides me the opportunity to make a difference in the world of cancer care.
