Welcome to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, a freestanding, comprehensive cancer center located in a rural, park-like setting in northeast Philadelphia.
"Reducing the burden of cancer" is the Fox Chase mission, but our 70 robust basic science programs range from labs focusing on the most fundamental cellular problems to directly translational research. These programs are complemented with superior core facilities allowing researchers to spend less time on repetitive tasks, and more time designing and completing experiments.

Core Research Facilities
Despite its relatively small size, Fox Chase has an excellent array of core facilities that rival those of many larger research institutions.
These facilities, which provide access to the latest technology, also provide essential services that would otherwise demand a considerable amount of benchwork on the part of the laboratory staff. Facilities include DNA microarray, tandem mass spectrometry, automated DNA sequencing, cell culture, HPLC, animal care and maintenance, transgenic and knock-out facilities, animal imaging, flow cytometry antibody production, and many others.
Comprehensive Research Library
Fox Chase also has an exceptional research library located on campus. The library houses many journals and periodicals in print and through online databases. Staff librarians are always just a phone call, email or text message away with answers to your questions and provide full support through regular training sessions. Whether you need help crafting the perfect query in Medline or building a bibliography in EndNote, the Talbot Research Library staff are there to help.
