The Mission of the Fox Chase Cancer Center Department of Nursing is to ease the burden of human cancer by providing compassionate, expert, holistic nursing care to adult cancer patients and their families. Fox Chase Cancer Center has a unique staff of oncology-trained nurses who provide one of the best nurse-to-patient ratios in the area.

Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence

Fox Chase Cancer Center is the first hospital in Pennsylvania and the nation's first cancer center to earn the Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This accreditation is the highest honor for nursing excellence. Magnet hospitals have better patient outcomes than similar non-Magnet hospitals.
